A parade, a football victory, and the launch of a major fundraising campaign

Miami celebrated more than one kickoff during Homecoming weekend

With the first kick against Kent State, Miami celebrated the official launch of a new, comprehensive fundraising campaign – For love. For honor. FOR THOSE WHO WILL.

With a financial goal of $1 billion, the campaign is the largest in the university’s history.

The parade: a Miami tradition returns

The Miami University Alumni Association revived the tradition of the Homecoming Parade, last held in 2014. The parade started at Cook Field, moved up High Street and along Tallawanda Road and Sycamore Street to the west parking lot of Millett Hall. Below, Miami University Marching Band members get ready to march.

Homecoming Tailgate

Miamians enjoyed tailgating in the West Millett parking lot after the parade. The Miami University Alumni Association tailgate tent featured gear and information on more than 15 alumni groups and organizations.

Homecoming game memorable thanks to 27-24 win over Kent State

The Miami University Marching Band played as the RedHawks take the field. The team debuted new uniform jerseys: Featuring a throwback jersey from the early 2000s, Miami's classic red top, white pants along with mesh numbering is accompanied by a patch that reads "For love.For honor. FOR THOSE WHO WILL." to signify the announcement of Miami's new $1 billion campaign.
