Miami University's College of Engineering and Computing celebrated the hard work of its students during the 2022 Senior Design Expo at the end of spring semester.
Each year, students demonstrate their projects for visitors and grades, but also, just maybe, for a top-place finish in the design competition.
Electric race cars are in the future according to these senior designers. They are outfitting the RedHawk race car with a full data package for the drivetrain, which includes a motor, controller, accumulator, and a battery management system.
Students have their own ideas on how to create self-driving vehicles. This one is designed for sidewalks! Look out!
Stability is the goal of this idea for a tricycle design, below. Caroline Bartels, Kirsten Benedict, Paxton Erickson, and Sarah Herbruck wanted to make riding fun and accessible for everyone.
Students from all departments within the College of Engineering and Computing shared their design projects.
Winning the award for the best representation of a socially engaged engineering and computing (SEEC) project was the UV-LED Photocatalytic Devise for Fuel Vapor Emission Control. Team members are Julia Kocher, Kylie Saxton, Jack Bain, John Nguyen, Lauryn Simenson, and Alex Danciutiu.
